Congratulations to each of the PSG recipients for 2022

Project Support Grant recipients have now been announced across both Stream A: Creative Development and Stream B: Business Development.

About the program

The MDO Project Support Grants (PSGs) support local musicians and music businesses with creative and business development projects. The PSGs offer two streams of funding to support musicians to continue their creative development and to help sustain music businesses in the South Australian contemporary music sector.

See below for upcoming PSG rounds.

Stream A: Creative Development

grants of up to $15,000 to support recording and performing artists, songwriters, producers and artist managers (on behalf of their artists) in the creation and/or release of new original music composition or content.

Stream B: Business Development

grants of up to $15,000 to support recording studios, promoters, record labels, booking agents, live music venues, artist managers, self-managed artists and other music entrepreneurs, businesses or organisations with their efforts to facilitate the creation, presentation, production or delivery of original music.

Project Support Grants 2023 Key Dates

Exact dates for Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2023 Project Support Grants are still being finalised.

  • Round 1 opens in April 2023 to support activity from 1 July 2023
  • Round 2 opens in October 2023 to support activity from 1 January 2024
